Universal back-up power supply
The power supply serves for powering the device which needs 12 V DC. The PLV-CP-L box is recommended for back-up batteries with capacities of 7–18 Ah (a capacity of up to 26 Ah can be used with an external box including tamper contact). If the power supply is a part of the alarm system, it must be in the guarded area. The AC status and backup battery status are optically indicated.
Installation
![]() |
The power supply can only be installed by a person with an adequate electrotechnical qualification. |
- Mount the power supply (1) and the power supply module at the requested place or straight into the PLV-CP-L box. Use the cables from the accessories (5) to connect the module and power supply.
- Thread the cable through the prepared hole through the rear plastic and screw the rear plastic to the selected location.
- Connect the power inlet to the terminals (2) and the powered device to the output terminals (7).
- Connect tamper contacts (8), back-up battery (4) and close the mounting box.
1 – power supply JA-107PWR; 2 – input power supply voltage terminals; 3 – AC circuit fuse; 4 – back-up battery connector; 5 – link of JA-107PWR and BP12-18; 6 – LED indicators; 7 – output terminals; 8 – tamper input connector (3x);
AC OK – input voltage OK; ACU OK – back-up battery OK; Low ACU – faulty or disconnected back-up battery (voltage >10,8 V);
Output terminals description (7)
+U | – | positive voltage output |
GND | – | ground |
AC | – | signal AC fault indicator output (NC – OK, NO – fault) |
COM | – | common terminal for AC and ACU |
ACU | – | back-up battery signal fault indicator (NC – OK, NO – fault) |
TMP | – | tamper loop output terminal (All tampers are connected in series. If you are going to use just one tamper, the rest of the tampers must be shorted because the whole loop must be closed) |
Outputs terminals AC, ACU and COM have floating potential.
