IP converter for RTSP cameras
The product is a component of the JABLOTRON system. It is used to connect third-party cameras and recording devices via RTSP protocol to the JABLOTRON cloud. The footage is transmitted via LAN and the Internet to a secure server storage. The user has access to live video via MyJABLOTRON, recording based on set events and, according to the subscription service, to continuously stored recording for each of the connected cameras. The converter sends the footage to the cloud. The product is designed to be installed by a trained technician with a valid Jablotron certificate.
1 – USB-C power connector; 2 – audio output; 3 – LAN connector;
A – USA; G – Great Britain; I – Australia; F – EU;
Installation
- Connect the converter to a local network where cameras or recording devices are connected, with Internet access using the LAN connector (3) – LAN cable included.
- Plug the converter adapter into a power outlet and insert the USB-C connector into the device (1).
- Open and go to MyCOMPANY – Cameras – Register camera – read the QR from the converter and go to Find camera within 2 – 20 min after installation.
- At five-minute intervals, the converter searches the network on the ports see the chapter Data transfer and communication to the server, the current list of cameras is displayed in the application.
- After loading the cameras by MAC address or IP address, fill in the name and password of the cameras you want to register, and press Detect stream (Fig. 3). After that, a preview of the camera stream will be displayed and check the box in the upper right corner to select the camera to register (Fig. 4). By selecting Add stream you can connect e.g. a recording device with multiple cameras (Fig. 7). The individual streams can be defined by an identifier (videoSub). For Hikvision cameras e.g.: <username>:<password>@<address>:<port>/Streaming/Channels/videoSub/. Each manufacturer has its own form of notation (Fig. 6).
- To complete your registration, press the Register button.
- A list of connected cameras will open, in it you can view the camera detail with further settings see below (Fig. 5 and 8).

Settings properties of the connected camera in MyCOMPANY
For third-party cameras that are connected via the JI-120T, the following can be set:
Camera name – the filled in name will be displayed in all Jablotron applications.
Video clip retention time – 3 days, 7 days, 15 days, 30 days
Depending on the subscription service, 10 or 60 clips are available. The clips are deleted either after the set period or after the number of videoclips is depleted. Only after this selected retention period it is also possible to request an export of the video clips.
Activation of video events for the section – according to the set configuration, configurable events: alarm, setting, unsetting
Check to set from which sections and for which events the video sequences will be saved. The number of sections is according to the set configuration and in each section, there are 3 events for which video sequences can be saved. The camera saves the recording 30 seconds before and 30 seconds after the event, up to 4.5 minutes after the event for the paid service.
PG event activation – for each PG there is a slider option On/Off
Change the camera password and username
Connect to ARC – the button is used to send a request to the monitoring service at the ARC.
Delete camera – button to unregister the camera including all footages from the server. It is not possible to unregister a camera on which the ARC service is active.
Data transfer and communication with the server
The camera data transmission function is based on persistent communication with the server where the footage is sent. The communication ports for searching cameras by the JI-120T converter in the local network are 554, 88, 81, 555, 7447, 8554, 7070, 10554, 80, 81, 8080, 8081, 8090 and the ports on which the JI-120T converter communicates to the cloud are 8900, 8901. For normally configured networks, nothing needs to be enabled in the router or firewall.
Installation recommendations
In the case of connecting more cameras to the system, it is necessary to consider a larger data flow and therefore to ensure a separate data flow for each camera in the upload direction.
Note: The manufacturer points out that in connection with the possibility of making video recordings by means of the camera, each user is obliged to comply with the obligations set out in the legislation on the protection of the privacy of persons and their personal data.
The regulations in question may imply, inter alia, the obligation to secure the consent of persons within the camera’s range to the taking of their footages, or the obligation to mark the area covered by the camera with information signs.
The manufacturer recommends that you familiarize yourself with the responsibilities related to the operation of the camera system before installing and operating the camera.
